When it comes to testing self-driving cars in San Francisco, Cruise chief executive Kyle Vogt claims that his company, which is owned by General Motors, is providing “a massive and quite measurable public benefit to the community.”
But for Mr. Vogt to prove his claim, I suggest he would have to show how autonomous-vehicle technology beneficially affects traffic safety, climate change, jobs, public transit, infrastructure needs, public safety and access for people who have disabilities. Read More...
